Why Collaboration?

Custom integration requires managing multiple teams. A smart thermostat must be installed by the HVAC team. Speaker placement in a ceiling requires conversations and approvals with the architect, builder, and ultimately, the homeowner. We have the communication and organization skills to manage these processes and teams.

  • Technology Design is the skill required to understand the nuances of acoustic and low voltage theory and implement in a real-time environment. We use our knowledge and expertise to design projects of all sizes.

    We support the design team with the proper documentation and as-builts.

    We can build upon an existing system framework or create anew to accomplish the goals we define early in the process. The earlier we are brought in, the better the results.

    Detailed scope of work documents and contract language assist in defining our work and setting team expectations as part of a novel collaborative process.

    It is crucial we are brought into the project as early as possible to best support the design team.

  • Our qualified team of professionals work through the project installation phases to complete the dream we created as designed.

    Installation comes in the form of physical hardware and programming (off-site) and download and test of programming (on-site).

    The stages of our work mirrors the Building Industry: Rough, Trim, Finish, Setup, Configuration, and Programming. This work can also take years as the house is built in the case of new construction.

    A common misperception in this industry is software programming. We install the latest stable operating system that has been vetted, and fully test the system inside and out prior to leaving the site for the final time. Unlike a smartphone, once the system is programmed it will not require updates unless new functionality is desired. Finally, we require a tutorial with the homeowner to demonstrate usage of the system on their personal devices.

  • We support the projects we design and install. Our bare minimum racking and power plans ensure the hardware components received the proper clean power and site conditions, such that equipment lasts as long as it was designed.

    Any electronics system can have issues, we do not pretend otherwise. We deploy remote monitoring of crucial electronics to assist in off-site maintenance and support. This cuts down on over 90% of service calls.

    The homeowner may never know of downtime as we are able to resolve issues often in the middle of the night.

    Our Maintenance packages address annual on-premise systems review to address physical maintenance. We also have VIP emergency services at the highest tier.

  • We place top value on employee and managerial trainings, project debriefs, and revise our operating procedures often.

Hello all, I don’t update much. In the last few years, I’ve had ups and downs like many of you. Mental health crises, starting a Home Technology firm, more about that another time. Today I’d like to tell you about a project that hel
Hello all, I don’t update much. In the last few years, I’ve had ups and downs like many of you. Mental health crises, starting a Home Technology firm, more about that another time. Today I’d like to tell you about a project that helped heal my mind and fed my creative and technical sides, and that I'm passionate about - People Under the Stars. Yesterday my musical partner and I released our first full-length album. I’d love to tell you that this took a whole year to make or that it took “since Covid“, but life isn’t like that. It took roughly a decade. Between moving, breakups, co-parenting a dog, getting sober and all of the life things, it was always there. We pushed it forward little by little. But life comes at you on life’s terms. It took dedicated hard work to bring this to fruition. I had 20 years of TapeOp to catch up on from my formal training at Full Sail in 2005; and I couldn't be more proud of the results. Finding a balance in this project between the technical and creative sides of my mind was satisfying and helped me marry the two. This was recorded, mixed and mastered to be LOUD in the style of rock and roll and in the way we intended. We compromised dynamic range for vibe and feel, and we’re ok with that. Dust off your subwoofer, you’re going to want to feel this record. I have so many people to thank: Kate; my Parents, Judy & Harry; the artists who contributed their time (members of Bush- Nik Hughes and Corey Britz); JR Richards; Nick Gomez; Brandyn Demelo- who crushed many of the guitar solos on this; and a legend in the industry, Mastering Engineer Adam Ayan, who took us the final 10%; and last but not least, my musical partner Richie- he's a talented lyricist, composer, musician and singer. We always find a path to agreement and he trusts my process. He's also a fucking solid friend, through trying times and good. Get you a Richie.
